Doing architectural restaurant photography for the first time? Me too, here’s my experience!
My first thoughts and remaining thoughts are that this is a bit harder than it looks. I went to the Lift restaurant during their down hours around 3pm. This was a great time to go because there’s few customers that I had to worry about getting in my shot. From what I’ve learned about architectural photography is that you want it to look spacious and inviting. The space should be well lit and portray the mood the company is trying to sell. As for restaurant photography I’d want to see where I’m going to be sitting and eating, what mood it’ll give off. The Lift Restaurant had this nice layed back, stylish feel that I wanted to capture both inside and outside. I had to use a tripod to get some well lit pictures inside and bracketed (still on a tripod) for outside. Restaurant photography can be fun if you know what angles will look most appealing and how to get them without the interruption of people.
Stewart Image got a great shot for another business for some architectural photography that I found online.
