It’s important to look or think of new ways to light subjects. Light is so cool and reflects or diffuses differently in every situation. In order to get creative with your lighting you must first get a little creative with your idea and then the lighting will follow. For example, a fog machine. A fog machine already adds a whole new look to photos but what about lighting the fog, with gels. Or water drops can be pretty cool but what about having the light reflect a cool backdrop in the water drop. These are just some of my experiments recently, there’s numerous ways to get creative lighting with your photography!
